As you can see, there are a lot of pockets on this bad boy. That's perfect for a time capsule. Lots of room to cram keepsakes, straw paper, and receipts. I've been wearing this jacket for about five years now. Let's open it up and see what's inside!
Wow! Good haul! There's even a piece of uneaten candy that's still in the wrapper! Let's get a closer look at the contents.
1.) Ticket to see Brand New at the Ryman. I used to like them until I found out their lead singer was a really shitty dude.
2.) Set list from when I was in a band.
3.) Golf pencil that I stole from the library. They only carry little pencils because they seem less desirable. I beg to differ.
4.) Ticket to see Electric Six at Saturn back in 2015.
5.) Crumpled up baggage claim sticker. I found my baggage and didn't even need the sticker.
6.) Quarter-Idaho
7.) Sweet Tart Lollipop-from Valentine's Day 2019. Pink flavor. (The security guard at work gave it to me.)
8.) Ticket to see Nufonia Must Fall at the Alys Stephens Center-February 17, 2018. This was a live filming of a, um, puppet show. It's hard to explain. We met a lot of puppets, but we didn't have to pretend they were people or anything.
9.) Macy's gift cards (2) - I never go to stores in real life and I can't make myself buy anything from their website because shipping costs a bunch. These gift cards are from two different Christmases both of which were over three years ago. I've never worn this jacket to a mall. Maybe this will be the year?
10.) Prank cigarettes - I wore this jacket to some sort of charity fundraising party with my mom and aunt and cousin back in 2016. Smoking makes you look cool, it's a scientific fact. These things are very authentic because smoke really comes out when you blow in it. They still work, so I pretend to be a smoker when I need to do something with my hands.
11.) Ticket to see George Winston at the Hoover Public Library-November 12, 2015-This guy plays jazz piano.
12.) Tickets to see the Squirrel Nut Zippers at the Lyric Theater-December 2017
13.) Ticket to see Ben Folds at the Lyric Theater-March 2017-also with pen. I stole the pen from the show because at the end, Ben told us to write our song requests on a sheet of paper, fold them into an airplane, then throw them on the stage. Mine never made it to the stage. I didn't know what to request anyway. Lots of pressure.
And let's not forget......
This very good rock. Probably quartz! I found it while I was taking a walk at the duck pond near work.
That's one of my time-capsule jackets! I plan to wear this out to dinner tonight. I may end up adding a fortune cookie, receipt, or a cool shell to the collection.
